Privacy Policy for Offline AI Translator & Chat

This policy describes how Offline AI Translator & Chat handles data in the Android and iOS apps, plus the public website.

Local Processing

The product remains local-first. Text translation, AI chat, OCR/image flow, speech/audio flow, history, conversation sessions, and settings are processed or stored on the device unless a platform purchase, model download, or diagnostic channel is explicitly involved.

What Is Not Sent to Cloud AI

• Text, prompts, and AI chat messages
• OCR-extracted text and translated output
• Audio recordings and transcripts
• Images and imported media files
• Local history and conversation bodies

Networked Workflows

• Local AI model downloads and model file verification
• Purchases and entitlement restore through Google Play or App Store / StoreKit
• Minimal crash/error diagnostics through Sentry when enabled for a build
• Optional anonymous product analytics through Aptabase when enabled by the user or build settings
• Google Analytics on the public website for basic web analytics

Diagnostics and Analytics

Sentry is used for crash/error diagnostics and should receive only technical build, environment, and failure details. Aptabase is used for anonymous product events such as app launch, screen/paywall/model-install counters, and technical metadata. These channels must not include prompts, OCR text, transcripts, images, audio, translations, or conversation bodies. The iOS app includes a Settings toggle for anonymous product analytics.

Purchases

Android purchases are handled by Google Play. iOS purchases are handled by App Store / StoreKit. We do not receive or store payment card details.

Local Storage

Models, translation history, conversation sessions, messages, imported media, and preferences are stored in local app storage. Users can remove this data through app settings or by uninstalling the app.

Retention and Deletion

Local data remains on the device until the user removes it, clears app storage, or uninstalls the app. Diagnostics and anonymous analytics, when enabled, are retained by the relevant processors according to their retention settings and must not include user content.

Public Website

The website uses Google Analytics for basic web analytics. This analytics path relates to website usage and does not include prompts, OCR text, audio, images, translations, or chat bodies from the mobile apps.
