Terms of Use for LocalAI Translator

By downloading, installing, or using LocalAI Translator ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before using the App.

1. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Android devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and applicable Google Play policies.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the App to:

• Translate text between supported languages
• Translate and analyze text from images using OCR
• Translate speech using voice input
• Have multi-turn AI conversations and analyze content on-device
• Analyze documents, signs, and images using local AI
• Store translation and chat history locally on your device
• Use the App for personal, educational, or professional purposes

3. Prohibited Use

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or its AI models
• Use the App for any illegal or harmful purpose
• Attempt to bypass any security, licensing, or access control features
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App
• Use the App in violation of applicable local, national, or international laws
• Attempt to extract or copy the bundled AI model files

4. Subscriptions and Payments

The App offers a 1-day free trial with full feature access — no payment or credit card required. After the trial period, the App operates in freemium mode (approximately 10 AI operations per day at no charge). Unlimited access is available via a Pro subscription purchased through Google Play In-App Purchases.

Subscription management (cancellation, renewal) is handled entirely through Google Play. We do not process payments directly. To cancel: open Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → LocalAI Translator → Cancel.

5. AI Model and Content

The App uses Google Gemma 3 AI models for all AI features. The AI model runs entirely on your device and processes your input locally. AI-generated content (translations, analysis, chat responses) is provided for informational purposes only.

6. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the developer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The Gemma 3 AI models are provided by Google LLC under their respective open-source licenses.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of translations, AI analysis, or chat responses. Translation quality varies based on language pair, input quality, and selected AI model.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including reliance on AI-generated translations or analysis.

9. System Requirements

The App requires Android 12 or higher with at least 4 GB RAM and approximately 8 GB of free storage space for the Basic AI model (3.2 GB) or 9 GB for the Advanced model (4.3 GB). Performance may vary based on device specifications.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
